Punta Cana. Punta Cana has a wonderful coast line with fantastic sandy beach. To the east is the Atlantic and to the south and west is Caribbean sea. The area is in the province or municipality of La Altagracia. To the North it borders El Cortecito beach and Bavaro village. The Punta Cana international airport is connected to Santo Domingo airport and Las Americas international. Punta Cana airport currently services over two million passengers per year and is close to the village of Bavaro, another tourist destination in the Dominican republic. Other places of interest in the region are Cabeza de toro, Cayo El Cayiyo Adamanay, Punta Cacon, punta delfin Catuano, Cayo raton laguna Los flamencos, laguna Secucho.
